Q. What is the fumigation process?
A. The fumigation process usually is a 2 night and 2-1/2 day process.
Below is an example of the time line for a traditional fumigation.

Day #1 - The gas company arrives sometime between 7-11 a.m. to shut
off the gas to the property and you can expect A-1 Fumigation to arrive
sometime in the window discussed if the customer has requested a
phone call. A-1 Fumigation will cover your home, prepare the interior,
seal the tarps, and release the warning agent and the Vikane fumigant
into the structure.

Day #2 - A-1 Fumigation will arrive at the property to aereate the
structure.

Day #3 - A-1 Fumigation will arrive at the property and certify the home
safe for re-entry.

Q. What do I need to do to prepare for fumigation?
A. You should have received a fumigation packet with your report either
via U.S. mail, Fax, or E-mail. In this packet includes Instructions for
Necessary Preparations for Fumigation & To Bag or Not to Bag
Instructions. As a homeowner, some of your preparations steps might
include watering soil, cutting back foilage 18 inches from the home,
ensuring that all people, plants, and pets are out of the structure and
making arrangements for your family and pets.

Q. Do I put my food in Trash Bags?
A. No. A-1 Bonded Termite, Inc. will provide NyloFume bags specifically
used for the fumigation process.

Q. Who calls the gas company and schedules the turn off and on?
A. A-1 Fumigation will schedule your gas turn off and the homeowner or
occupant is required to schedule an appointment to meet the gas
company to restore service to the property and re-light all pilots.

Q. What time will they be here on Day #1? If requested, A-1 Fumigation
will call you in the morning and let you know the time assigned for your
property.
